Significance of Chaitra Navratri
The importance of Chaitra Navratri is not only religious, but is also deeply connected with creation and nature. According to the Hindu calendar, this is the time when Brahmaji created the universe. This is also the beginning of the Hindu New Year, and during this time the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram is celebrated as Ram Navami. Therefore, Chaitra Navratri is considered a symbol of creation, religion and power.
Navratri will begin in auspicious yogas
This year Chaitra Navratri is starting in Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, which makes it extremely auspicious. Also, Indra Yoga is also being formed on this day, which will increase the importance of worship even more. The effect of sadhana and devotion done in conjunction with these special yogas is considered to be many times more. Usually Chaitra Navratri is of nine days, but this time it will be of eight days. This year Chaitra Navratri will be celebrated from 30 March 2025 to 6 April 2025.
Auspicious time of Kalash Sthapana
This year, the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month will start at 4:27 pm on March 29, which will remain till 12:49 pm on March 30. According to Udaya Tithi, the holy beginning of Chaitra Navratri will be from March 30. On this day, Kalash Sthapana is very important, through which Goddess Shakti is invoked. This time the Muhurta of Kalash Sthapana will be from 6:13 am to 10:22 am on March 30. By establishing Kalash in this auspicious time, happiness, prosperity and peace resides in the house.
When is Ashtami and Navami
This year, a special coincidence of Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami is being made in Chaitra Navratri, because Panchami Tithi is waning. Devotees will worship the nine forms of Maa Durga with full devotion. This time the auspicious fast and worship of Ashtami Tithi will be completed on April 5, on this day devotees will worship Kanya and get the blessings of Goddess Shakti. At the same time, Maha Navami festival will be celebrated on April 6 and on the same day the holy festival of Lord Shri Ram’s birth anniversary, Ram Navami will also be celebrated.

Maa Kalratri – This fierce form of Maa frees the seekers from fear and negative powers.
Maa Mahagauri – Maa Mahagauri is the goddess of purity and compassion, her grace brings auspiciousness in life.
Maa Siddhidatri – Worshiping her on the day of Navami brings all the siddhis and the life of the seeker moves towards perfection.
Importance of donation on the festival of Navratri
Along with worship and sadhana, Navratri is also the best time for service and charity. It is said in the scriptures that the donation done in these nine days provides Akshay Punya and the devotee receives the blessings of Maa Durga. Especially on Ashtami and Navami Tithi, feeding girls, giving clothes and Dakshina is considered very virtuous.
