The day of Hanuman Janmotsav begins with bathing and meditation in the morning during Brahmamuhurta. Devotees go to Hanuman Ji’s temple with a resolve to fast. Special decorations in temples, the sweet sound of bells and the chanting of devotees make the atmosphere devotional. Sunderkand, Hanuman Bahuk, Bajrang Baan and Hanuman Chalisa are recited continuously.
Grand processions are also taken out at many places, in which tableaux of various forms of Shri Hanuman Ji are presented. Devotees offer him vermilion, jasmine oil and laddus, which are very dear to him.
