Success Story : Neha

Neha (24), daughter of Rajaram and Phoolvati from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, has been afflicted with polio since birth, affecting both her legs. Neha has been facing life’s challenges daily, yet she persevered and completed her Bachelor’s degree despite relying on others for support. Her parents were deeply distressed by her disability. They sought every possible treatment but to no avail. The worry for their daughter’s future weighed heavily on them, making their days tearful and nights sleepless.

But as they say, days filled with sadness will eventually pass, and new flowers will bloom along the way. Something similar happened with Neha. In November 2023, she received information about free polio corrective surgeries offered by the Narayan Seva Sansthan. Without wasting any time, her relatives brought her to the Sansthan, where a team of doctors successfully performed the surgery and fitted her with calipers. Now, Neha stands on her own feet without any support or discomfort. Her parents are overjoyed, and Neha herself feels that lost joys have returned once again.
